In nzs 4121 2001 design for access and mobility section 11 1 refers to public counters and desks.
Wheelchair accessible reception desk dimensions. Such a space shall be at least 900mm wide. A wheelchair accessible desk has to be more than just a desk without a reception counter. In addition to the vertical 8 inch measurement the toe kick is to cut into the reception desk by 4 inches horizontally.
